Northern corridor enjoys sales surge

REAL estate agents in the northern corridor are enjoying an unexpected spike in inquiries and a surge in sales.

Hillsea Paradise Point licensee David Nichol said his office had had a fantastic month in October.

“Our Runaway Bay and Paradise Point offices listed 35 properties and we sold another 26,” he said.

“As recorded on realestate.com, there were 53 settled sales in October at Biggera Waters, Runaway Bay, Coombabah, Hollywell and Paradise Point.”

Nineteen of these were sold by Hillsea and most sales were between $300,000-$800,000.

“Buyers were a mix of investors, families, singles, young couples and retirees all with good deposits and finance pre-approvals,” Mr Nichol said.

“Most of our buyers were looking for three or four-bedroom homes, in any condition, with or without pools.”

He said prices appeared to be steady and well-priced properties were being snapped up by savvy buyers.
