Relocation Guide

Your Relocation Guide to the Northern end of the Gold Coast

Welcome to the Northern Gold Coast

Hillsea Real Estate was established in 1986 and now has six offices in key locations, together with a stand alone Property Management Department.

At Hillsea, we acknowledge our responsibility as a large company to “give back” to the community.  The Hillsea group donates substantially to national groups including World Vision, The Salvation Army and The Smith Family, and supports local community groups and clubs.  Our senior managers and auctioneer also donate time and energy to local schools and fundraising events.

Detailed are some suggestions of things to organise when moving house.  Please use this as a guide only – as there may be others not mentioned here.

We hope this check list makes the “moving process” a little easier for you.

In addition, you’ll also find a list of phone numbers that may assist you.

We hope you have a wonderful start in your new home and hope you use the following guides as a regular reference in organising your day to day activities on the “Always Amazing, Ever Changing” spectacular Northern Gold Coast.

A BETTER LIFESTYLE

Location

The Northern Gold Coast region encompassing Labrador, Parkwood, Arundel, Biggera Waters, Runaway Bay, Hollywell, Coombabah, Paradise Point, Helensvale, Gaven, Monterey Keys, Hope Island, Sanctuary Cove, Oxenford and Coomera – is just simply superb and ideally located South of Brisbane and North of Surfers Paradise with easy commuter access to both. Indeed a delightful place to live, work and play.

There are many beach / broadwater locations ideally suited for swimming / family picnics / watersport, or simply enjoying the outdoors.

Population

Currently the sixth largest city in Australia and one of the fastest growing regions for the past 30 years, the Gold Coast has a population of 507,439* which swells by an average of 100,000 visitors on any one day. The growth rate is approximately 6% per annum.

Climate

Perhaps one of the best climates on earth! With an average of 300 days of sunshine each year, this subtropical climate is perfect for just about everyone to enjoy all that the city has to offer. The average summer temperatures are between 19-29 degrees Celsius and in winter between 9-21 degrees Celsius.

Transport

The Gold Coast is linked to Brisbane by rail. Four stations with ample parking are conveniently located at Ormeau, Coomera, Helensvale and Nerang for commuting residents.  Local transport includes a bus service and a large taxi fleet.
